Banan Bondogji – Senior Quran Educator & Mentor

Banan Bondogji is a highly experienced and dedicated Quran teacher with over 17 years of impactful service in Quranic education. Renowned for her leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to teaching the Quran, she has been instrumental in founding and developing several Quran Hifz schools across the United States.

Her extensive teaching career includes:

9 years as the lead Quran teacher at Al Arqam School

6 years at Noor Hifz School

Ongoing involvement with Furqaan Academy since its inception

Currently serving as a full-time Quran teacher at Zaytech Academy

Banan’s teaching philosophy centers on instilling a deep love for the Quran while ensuring proper recitation, Tajweed, and memorization. Her approach is known for its compassion, patience, and a personalized focus on each student’s learning style and pace.

Her dedication has yielded remarkable results: over 30 students have completed their Quran memorization (becoming Hafiz/Hafiza) under her guidance — a testament to her skill, consistency, and inspirational teaching.

Born and raised in Syria, Banan completed her own Quran memorization at the age of 15 and received an Ijaza, a traditional certification of mastery, from a distinguished Shaikha. This prestigious credential affirms her high-level expertise in Tajweed and Quranic recitation and reflects her lifelong commitment to excellence in Islamic education.

With a passion for both preserving and passing on the sacred knowledge of the Quran, Banan Bondogji continues to shape the next generation of confident, spiritually connected, and disciplined young Muslims.
